History and Trivia

  • At this location: Prior to becoming Bengal Barbecue, this location was called "Sunkist, I Presume" (sponsored, obviously, by Sunkist) and sold fruit juices, "Jungle Juleps," and desserts. When the sponsorship lapsed in 1990, the location was closed (as was the Sunkist location on Main Street, Sunkist Citrus House).
  • The Restaurant's History: Bengal Barbecue has been through several refurbishments over the last 15 years, but remains essentially the same.
