History and Trivia

  • At this location: The attraction has essentially been in place since the park opened in October 1982.
  • The Attraction's History: Living with the Land was originally known as Listen to the Land from October 1, 1982 through September 27, 1993. At that time the ride underwent some minor modifications, adding the current storm scene and removing the theme song that gave the ride its original name. Though the crops and methods may change occasionally, the ride has remained essentially the same since.
  • Other Trivia:
    • Sponsors: Kraft Foods sponsored the Land pavilion from 1982 through 1992 and was quickly replaced by Nestle, the current sponsor.
