Time Commitment

Open/Close: Opens and closes with the park. The ride closes during fireworks. Open during Magic Mornings.

Wait Times: This is generally the longest line in Fantasyland, both because it's capacity isn't high but also because it is extremely popular (neighboring dark rides will generally have lines much shorter). Waits over 30 minutes are common except on the lightest attendance days.

Length of Ride: 2 minutes

FastPass: No

Single Rider: No

Queue Description: Not much to see in this queue as it winds around itself fitting a surprising number of people in the small area before the loading platform.

Access Information

Health Restriction: Should be fine for just about anybody.

Ride Access: This is the most challenging access for any ride in Fantasyland. Due to the nature of the ride, only one disabled group is permitted to ride at a time. If a group is already on the ride, wait outside of the exit until they leave, then proceed up through the exit. Scooters will have a very difficult time using the exit — it is very narrow with a couple of tight turns. If you can walk, even for a short distance, it may be easier to leave the scooter outside and walk in.

Wheelchair Transfer: It is required that riders transfer from wheelchairs or ECVs into the ride's vehicles. Due to a raised platform, it is not necessary to step up to get into one of the elevated units.

Service Animals: No

Audio: No assistive devices are available and sound plays only a minor role in the attraction.

Weight and Size Issues: There should be plenty of room for two adults, though if it would be more comfortable, request your own vehicle.

Parenting Information

Height Restriction: No

Child Swap: No

Other Issues: This is a "dark" ride. The vehicle hangs over scenes. Children should be seated first with parents near the entrance to the vehicle The safety restraint is a bar which may not hold a child securely seated next to an adult.

History and Trivia

  • At this location: Peter Pan's Flight is an opening day attraction and has been in the same location since then.
  • This attraction's history: The ride itself remains very similar to when it opened in 1955 with various minor tweaks. The ride received a major refurbishment during the 1984 redesign of Fantasyland, but the biggest change was to the ride's exterior. The old design for this area of Fantasyland was that all the buildings were tents at a medieval tournament. As part of the redesign this theming was abandoned and the ride is now housed inside more of a 19th century manor.
