History and Trivia

  • This location used to be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Place. When the park opened Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were still very popular and since those characters loved pizza, the theme was obvious. The location was themed to look like their home in the sewers of New York. The shine quickly faded from the franchise however, and when Toy Story came out it was quickly renamed Pizza Planet and given a rush retheming.
  • When Pizza Planet opened it was only barely themed and people were disappointed to find that it looked nothing like the restaurant depicted in the movie. Over the years it was touched up and video games added.
