T-Rex Cafe

The official full name of this restaurant is T-Rex: A Prehistory Family Adventure, A Place to Eat, Shop, Explore and Discover. So you'll understand that we just call it T-Rex. As you might expect with a name like that this is no ordinary restaurant, it is trying to be a destination in itself. At over 30,000 square feet, up to 600 diners eat in six separately themed rooms. In addition to real and replica fossils throughout (including the restrooms), there is a 5,000 gallon shark tank in a bar that also includes an animatronic octopus. Every 20 minutes a meteor shower streaks across the ceilings. Retails offerings include a large gift shop, a "build a dinosaur" store from Build-A-Bear, geode splitting, an archaeological dig where kids can discover bones, and a a water sluice for finding "precious" stones. Oh yeah, and you can eat too.
